Changing Choices is focused on creating a safe and effective app to support problem solving recovery.
As we initially develop our app, Changing Choices will be heavily relying on the guidance and feedback from industry experts. Our goal is to develop an app which is clinically tested and proven to promote abstinence, reduce the negative consequences of gambling, and minimize relapses.
Changing Choices is currently forming advisory boards to provide feedback on product safety, feature development, and clinical trial development.
The UPRITE Lab at Jackson State University is conducting testing on product safety and usability.
The company plans to roll out clinical trials in cooperation with community mental health centers.
Our Work With The UPRITE Lab
The UPRITE Lab at Jackson State University, under the direction of James Broussard, PhD. is composed of graduate and undergraduate students conducting research on gambling treatment related topics. Professor Broussard has authored or co-authored 12 research papers. A team of four researchers are currently “roleplaying” clients using the Choosing Therapy app with a focus on safety and usability.
Join An Advisory Board
We are looking for individuals and organizations who want to serve on Changing Choices advisory boards. We invite the following people to express interest.
Licensed mental health professionals with specialties in addiction or gambling
Non-profit executives whose organizations focus on addiction, gambling, or veterans
Former officials at government agencies involved in the regulation of gambling, providing treatment services, operating lotto operations
Academics involved in researching problem gambling treatments.
Responsible gambling professionals working for regulated gambling operators.
Our advisory boards will meet 3 - 4 times a year to provide insights to the management team of Changing Choices with the goal of bringing their expertise to the development and testing of the app. Those interested in joining an advisory board should email info@tripod-labs.com
